This band is simply stunning and this is their best album. Big bass, in your face, lots of punch, incredible time signatures and fantastic production - awsome.

This album kicks ass. It's the best of the Beatles on steroids. Great drumming and slick punchy chord work from Paul Weller.

Is there any better Clash album than this one? I think not. Plenty of edge and great song writing.

Top 50 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 82.9/100, a mean average of 81.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 82.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.3.

There's so much here that I haven't listened to, so it doesn't seem fair for me to rate the chart. However, it seems very unique, and there's a lot of artists I like. It's very interesting, so good job.

Although a good chart, I took some points off for being a little too short. Can't wait to see your other 50 choices!
