Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Saw your comment on my chart. Feel a bit bad for ridiculing a kid like that. But also since you only read my comment when you were older, I feel a bit less bad. Anyway, don't take anything too seriously I say. As I said, it's your choice. We're talking about music taste after all, let's not make it more important than it is.
Spoort is pretty fun actually. Wow, didn't expect it being from 2020, sounds '90s.

Solid chart, and enough to explore too, I like it.
I get that you're going for the "I'm not taking anything too seriously"-schtick, but you're coming off as very "Freddy Got Fingered" '90s (yeah that movie is from 2001, but not with the times).
Your hip hop picks scream "I'm white", but not as much as most white people. Maybe add "white" to your tongue-in-cheeck disclaimer, but I recommend not wearing your biases proudly on your sleeve. But at least it shows self-awareness, now only a willingness to change, unless you're okay with missing a large part of the earth's population's music. Your choice.

Cool chart. There's a lot of really popular albums here that I just never got, but there are some other slightly more obscure choices as well. Bad Brains and John Frusciante right next to each other in the top ten, I think, is fantastic, as I love both of those albums and feel they don't always get the recognition they deserve (Frusciante more so than Bad Brains). Nick Lowe is also a great inclusion, as he's a really great and often overlooked artist. Nice job.
