Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

Составить топ сложно. Казалось бы, чего тут такого? Всего-то 50-100 альбомов накидать. Но есть тонкости. Я расскажу, исходя из каких принципов я составлял свой список, это позволит лучше его понять. Во-первых, я, конечно, неоднократно слушал все эти альбомы (это позволяет отбросить фактор первого впечатления, которое часто бывает ложным). Во-вторых, я примерно прикидывал этот список на протяжении 2-3 лет. За это время топ менялся. Появлялись новые фавориты, происходила переоценка старых (да, это естественный процесс, любой топ-штука динамическая). И я уверен, что это не сиюминутная оценка. Все более-менее стабильно и обдумано. В-третьих, я правда прослушал довольно много музыки. И мне было из чего выбрать (хотя, конечно, осталось много классических альбомов, которые пока не расслушаны, все впереди). Какие есть особенности? Я старался не врать самому себе (это трудно) и ориентироваться только на свое личное мнение. Если все считают, что альбом - отстой, а мне кажется, что это бомба, я его включал в список. (и соответственно, наоборот). Тут есть откровенная попса. Я этого нисколько не стесняюсь. Тут много альбомов за последние 15-20 лет, это логично. У меня просто выбор был больше, так как большая часть музыки, что я слышал на протяжении своей жизни относится именно к этому периоду. Музыка первична, слова не так важны (хотя где-то я про лучшие строчки и пишу). Список будет пополняться и меняться со временем. А да, чуть не забыл. Как получить объективную оценку своего субъективного мнения по поводу альбома? Все "просто :-)": берете все длинные треки альбома (больше полутора минут), умножаете на 4. Это знаменатель, на него будем делить. Далее все треки, которые при прослушивании хочется переключить оцениваются в 0 баллов. Остальные минимум в 1 балл. Те, что хочется переслушать/прям хорошие треки - 2 балла. Ну и самые любимые композиции - 4 балла. Почему не 3? Ну вот у меня так получилось, что вес крутого трека должен быть таким (спорно, и спорить я готов, только так рождается истина). Затем прибавляете к результату 55 и вот вам итоговая оценка.Таким образом, моя минимальная оценка составляет 55/100, максимальная - больше 100 (на практике такого почти не бывает). В этот топ войдут только те альбомы, у которых оценка равна 85 или выше.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

This is an excellent chart. 32 albums in common and many that I like. Just got into the Talk Talk album and now I want to include that one and Twin Peaks in my Top 100. Good work.

Классный топ. Особенно хорошо сказано про Radiohead/Oasis. Но не могу согласиться с мнением о лучшем альбоме Pink Floyd. Всё-таки The Dark Side Of The Moon сильно выигрывает по текстам. Но ты молодец. Я б не решился писать здесь на русском.
