A personal pick for number one, This compilation is probably the album I grew up listening to the most as a kid. There's not a track I don't enjoy and know the words to.

A more objective pick, there isn't a better organized concept album in my opinion.

I'm not very good at playing piano, but this album certainly made me try at it. Would be number one on a list of greatest CD jackets.

An album that came across so simply at first, but has revealed more complexity with each listen.

Along with Lotic's EP (also on the list) got me to start listening more abrasive and experimental albums. Death Grip's later albums are arguably better but this was my introduction to them.

Got really into britpop for several years, and this was my favorite of the lot. Considering how prolific Blur continues to be, most of my favorite songs of their's comes from this album.

Just a beautifully produced record, and like Jim Croce had a universalism that could appeal to me even as a child.

Maybe the only album that my spouse and I love equally, resulting in it being played almost on repeat at our place. Still haven't grown tired of it.

The album I listen to the most at this moment, but we'll see how it settles in. Does a wonderful job of showing the depth and history of slums and projects that are so quickly torn apart by developers who only see a crumbling building.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 13% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.5/100, a mean average of 89.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.6.

Great Chart! Good music, solid variety. There's a handful of albums here I haven't listened to (including your number 1) so I'll be sure to get on that
