While I may have a "first-discovery-bias", as Death Grips among the first ones I started listening to when I decided to really get into music, I now have to admit they are amongst the best.
Everything from their music to their image is fascinatingly harsh but manages to simultaneously seem so professional and precise. Judging plainly by their music there is still tons to talk about. Their trashy yet catchy beats. You never know what they are going to do next, what samples and sounds are going to prevail on their next sound. This was really proven last year when they were teasing for their new album, Year of the Snitch. Considering all they had already done so far, they managed to surprise us with a pure new sound that nobody expected. Their diversity and experimentation, yet constant quality is what really amazes and intrigues me with this hell of a trio.
