The first time I listened to this album was with a fan of Diana Ross. I was in ecstasy, but my mate just could not get it. I used to dream of owning a copy with a peelable banana.

I really like this album. It was the first Doors album I listened to and bought. It led to me buying the rest of their Jim Morrison albums and at least two of my mates buying leather breeks.

Lovely album. Great cover. This cost me a fortune at a record fair in the Caird Hall, Dundee, but it was worth it.

I can remember Julian Cope talking about Scott Walker in the NME. I then heard a collection of his Jacques Brel songs and fell in love with what he was doing.

Everybody should have an album by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band in their collection. If you don't you should be ashamed of yourself.

Hurricane Fighter Plane was covered by the Swell Maps and led me to having a listen to this album. The Red Crayola were a big influence on the wonderful Swell Maps.

Everybody's favourite album. Sgt Pepper is justifiably praised for its pioneering work, but it is not even the Beatles' best album. If you come to Blackburn today you can still count the 4000 holes.
