Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 13% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.3/100, a mean average of 73.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.2.

It's like flying through a tube, watching reflections of future. An absolutely amazing and unique album. After listening to it you will be a different person.
It's unbelievable that this album is released in 67, I wouldn't be surprised if these guys claimed that they achieved time travel technology.

One of the harder albums to get a rating on because it doesn't do it justice. Chaotic and unpredictable but fascinating. There are sounds on this record that are beyond imagination at the time and still confound me even given the half a century of context that I have. The actual songs are really interesting and somewhat accessible at times. The stereo effects are mind-bending. The Free Form Freak-Outs are so dense and disheveled that it's hard for me to come up with anything to say about them other than they are intensely gripping. This album is unlike anything that I've ever heard. It pushes every boundary. (Edited)

Some might find the free form freak-outs off-putting, but personally I love how they sit between the proto-punk ballads that are at least a decade ahead of their time. I love how well suited the cover art is to the music; listening to this album is like wondering through a carnival, overwhelmed by the flood of sound and colour, and every so often finding yourself at the same stage with the mysterious band that you were sure you were just walking away from ...

Most of this is copied from the description of the album in my overall chart, do check it out if you have the time!!

I'm sorry, I usually dig psychedelia but for me this was just dross. (Edited)

Creo que, junto con "The Velvet Underground & Nico", "Trout Mask Replica" y "Kind of Blue" (entre otros), este es el álbum más importante e influyente de todos los tiempos.

I liked this album. Very psychedelic/avant-garde, without being too pompous or overbearing.

The songs here are actually quite good. On the other hand, the freepart stuff makes my ears bleed. (Edited)
