"You can't expect anything conventional from one of the most distinctive personalities in experimental rock in recent years. In The New Sound, we dive deep into Geordie Greep's creative arsenal, shedding more light on what he brings (or brought?) to the table as part of black midi. Greep has much ..."  [+]  Reply

"During the late eighties, Excitable Boy was in heavy rotation at the pizza place in Auburn, Maine, where I worked in the kitchen after school to earn pocket cash. It might have been the only album that was universally liked by all the high school aged staff who worked in the kitchen those years. ..."  [+]  Reply

"For about two years in the early 80s the only two albums I listened to were "Private Parts" by Robert Ashley and this album "Colossal Youth" by Young Marble Giants. Alison's voice was so sublimely melancoly and her pristine voice was the perfect musical vehicle for Stuart's dark existential lyric..."  [+]  Reply

"what the hell i've listened?! pure creativity, genuine and magical creativity. Nico's avantgarde is everywhere, polished by ambient electronic, free jazz echoes and art pop music at its best. By far, my personal favourite album from 2018."  Reply

"First three songs and 47 are really, really impressive but after that the album just falls falls on it's back with hopeless repetitions of the same lyrics and instrumentation. I can sense the immense potential these guys had on this record but I was still super disappointed that it didn't pay off..."  [+]  Reply

"I like Phil Collins but like many in the 80's got sick of seeing him as he inundated the album charts with solo albums, Genesis work, on other artists records, movies (Buster), Live Aid (both UK and US), etc. you get the drift. I haven't recovered from this saturation decades later. I only own th..."  [+]  Reply

"Great album from KGLW, and also the precursor to their follow-up album and masterpiece; Nonagon infinity. The album's beginning tracks are a wild continuous ride full of hips shaking and head bobbing highlights. It is definitly one of those projects with a remmeberable start. It is also quite sur..."  [+]  Reply

"Masterfully written and engaging. I'm not even a huge fan of things on the fringe of folk/country, but I love almost every song on this album. This is probably my favorite release from Waxahatchee, and Fire might be my song of the year so far. Favorite tracks: Fire, Ruby Falls, Arkadelphia, St. C..."  [+]  Reply

"Rundgren's master stroke. It should be called Something/Everything since he pretty much does it all on this inspired smorgasbord of styles, ranging from hard rock and ballads to blue-eyed soul and grunge. And, of course, that tape hiss. Hugely influential, it is a miniature pop world unto itself."  Reply
