This chart is the 5th in the series dedicated to all those USA artists who are either lesser known or completely unknown but have included a Dylan cover song on an album.
This particular chart covers the period May 1979 until September 1989, including unreleased songs or outtake songs which were later released on the Bootleg Series of albums.
Once I have listed between 1- 3 cover versions of a particular song by lesser known/unknown USA artists, I will move onto the next song in Dylan's chronology for which a cover version(s) are available.
Albums recorded &/or released during this period are:

Slow Train Coming (1979)
(Note 1: Track 2 - Precious Angel - has not been covered by a US artist)
(Note 2: Two outtakes 'Trouble In Mind' (released as a b-side single) & 'Ye Shall be Changed' have not been covered by any artists)

Saved (1980)
(Note 3: Track 7 - In The Garden - remains 'uncovered')
(Note 4: Track 8 - Saving Grace - has only been performed by 2 US artists - Aaron Neville (but only on the 'Gotta Serve Somebody - Gospel Songs of Bob Dylan' compilation tribute album) & Chastity Brown (but only on the 'Bob Dylan In The 80's Vol1' compilation album. Both compilation albums appear elsewhere in this chart.
(Note 5: Track 9 - Are You Ready - has only been covered by one US artist (Fairfield Four), but only on the 'Gotta Serve Somebody - Gospel Songs Of Bob Dylan' compilation tribute album - which also features several tracks from the 'Slow Train Coming' album entered earlier in the chart).

Shot Of Love (1981)
(Note 6: Track 3 - Property Of Jesus - has only been covered by one US artist (Neal Casal), but only on the 'Bob Dylan In The 80's: Volume One' compilation tribute album - which features elsewhere in this chart).

(Note 8: Canadian Band 'Daniel Romano's Outfit' has released an entire cover album of 'Infidels'.)

Knocked Out Loaded (1986)
(Note 14: This 8 track album only features 5 original Dylan songs, of which 2 songs: Track 3 - Drifting Too Far From Shore & Track 5 - Maybe Someday have not been covered by any artists.)

Down In The Groove (1988)
(Note 15: This 10 track album only features 4 original Dylan songs. Track 4 - Death Is Not The End, while covered by 12 artists, has only been covered by 1 US artist {Carl Broemel - off the Dylan In The 80's compilation album featured elsewhere in this chart; Track 5 - Had A Dream About Your Baby & Track 6 - Ugliest Girl In The World {co-written with Robert Hunter} have not been covered by any artists anywhere!)

Traveling Wiburys Volume One (1988)
Bob's collaboration with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne & Roy Orbison.
(Note 16: all 10 songs on the album are credited to all 5 members, although apart from the 3 songs entered in this chart (Handle With Care; Rattled; & Not Alone Anymore) the remainder have few covers and none by US artists.

Oh Mercy (1989)
