Ruby may be the best highlight from this album for some. But nothings beats that emotion and that pleasure to raise your fist and sing "The Angry Mob" (Edited)
An excellent follow up album. Much better than Employment.
'Everything Is Average Nowadays' is a masterpiece of a title to have for your indie rocker songs. It's like... why not diss the other bands as well. Go the full mile and have songs like 'There Is A Reason You Play Small Bars' or 'Boy Bands With Guitars'. Kaiser Chiefs could have had a right laugh at their height. (Edited)

Very good album. Best 10 songs average is 88,3/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Far and away best song is "Ruby" i'm rating at a max. Followed by "Everything is average nowadays" and "Try your best" both 90/100 and next "The angry mob" and "Love's not a competition..." both 85/100. Favourite!
