"In 1975, the musicians had already recorded two records, "High Voltage" and "T.N.T.", but they were popular only in Australia and New Zealand, and the rest of the world was not covered by the capabilities of the Australian record company Albert Productions, which released these discs. But it turn..."  [+]  Reply

"In the late 70's Roger offered two projects to his bandmates of Pink Floyd, it was to be this or "The Wall". I think they did the right thing by choosing The Wall just because it was such a massive, obvious winner of a concept not because this one was no good. The musicianship is great and if any..."  [+]  Reply

"The Foos becoming their own band, for better or worse. First 5 songs are great, but the whole album could be about 10 minutes shorter if they trimmed the fat on each track a bit. The production here just feels right, but the songs go on and on."  Reply

"Gershwin’s music proves perfect for Miles Davis the balladeer, and he really owns it. The result is some of the most lovely moments in jazz. “Prayer,” especially, is emotional, powerful and absolutely beautiful."  Reply

"Many New Wave bands who continued into the nineties (and beyond), and who kept releasing new music, disappointed me. Maybe because you can only fall in love for the first time once, or maybe because the angry young man gets religion and\or smokes so much his vocal chords can't belt out the tunes ..."  [+]  Reply

"There is a great 12 song album in here There is another completely different, 7 song good EP in here as well Then there is some filler and should have been labeled bonus tracks When you put it all together it sounds like a pretty cool Spotify Playlist. But how many times am I gonna be able to sit..."  [+]  Reply

"THE most underrated album in music. The instrumentation is nothing to write home about save the wonderful steel guitar, but THE LYRICS are some of the best ever written. It's like being broken up with and having a series of epiphanies through fits of crying. Knowing that you both tried your best,..."  [+]  Reply

"I think the cover art is really more iconic than the album itself. While most of Daniel's work is brilliant I wouldn't call this his best. It's a little less mature than Yip/Jump and 1990, so I'm not really sure why it gets the most praise (maybe because Kurt Cobain constantly cited it as a favor..."  [+]  Reply

"I generall agree with y'all commenters, except daftpunter's assertion that Sgt. Pepper is "tripe". That just seems excessively revisionist. Sgt. Pepper is a remarkable work of art, though it's hard to listen to it with "fresh ears." But yeah this is one of the most underrated albums I've ever enc..."  [+]  Reply
