"FOLK ROCK FOR MARSHALL STACKS Stormcock stands alone. No other folk rock album rocks quite as hard as Stormcock. Any of these four songs could pop up on the classic rock radio station of my youth, and I would never even batted an eye. It is totally of its time (i.e. early 70s) - epic and grandios..."  [+]  Reply

"Absolute masterpiece! Saw her live as opening act for Lana Del Rey and she is an actual goddess. Her EP Por Vida was very promising and she absolutely delivered. Favorites include "Miami", "Flight 22", and "Dead To Me" Can't wait to see what she does next!"  Reply

"This record is just wonderful. A very unique brand of rap with so many phenomenal twists of phrase. The accompanying music is equally as engaging, the drums not the least of which. I think it's fair to draw some comparisons to To Pimp A Butterfly, especially musically although nothing is contrive..."  [+]  Reply

"This is Steve-O at his peak. Some great deep tracks here including Mercury Blues, Wild Mountain Honey and a revision of Sam Cooke's You Send Me that makes it all Steve's own."  Reply

"Totally brilliant, there is not one bad song here. The fact that it has come in for harsh criticism and is generally undervalued is more a reflection on listeners than the band themselves. If you like poncey, girlie-whirlie, indie schmindie that couldn't rock it's way out of a paper bag don't bot..."  [+]  Reply

"I think the cover art is really more iconic than the album itself. While most of Daniel's work is brilliant I wouldn't call this his best. It's a little less mature than Yip/Jump and 1990, so I'm not really sure why it gets the most praise (maybe because Kurt Cobain constantly cited it as a favor..."  [+]  Reply

"There's exactly 4 good tracks on this album. But with most songs over 5 minutes and 4 even over 7 minutes this album is simply to long for its own good and especially near the end it even becomes a bit boring. But overall an ok My Morning Jacket album."  Reply

"Just a smidge top heavy, but otherwise, one of the most wonderful albums of the year. Smooth, catchy, and full of life. Not to mention one of the most well-written and heartfelt R&B records in a while."  Reply

"After "No Depression" by Uncle Tupelo, this was the most important Alt Country recording released at the time and superior to Uncle Tupelo's March 16-20, 1992 of the the same year which oftentimes sounded like a bunch of college students trying to channel their inner Woody Guthrie. Instead we're ..."  [+]  Reply

"It's so richly dense in texture and sound that it is quite mesmerizing. The vocals at times feel a bit too samey but there is enough variety in the melodies that it does not take much away from the experience."  Reply
