"I've yet to hear a mediocre recording from The Duke, but this one is something special. It's more energetic and adventurous than his work with the Blanton-Webster band. There are a lot of great tracks, but I especially enjoyed "A Tone Parallel to Harlem.""  Reply

While there is no disputing the power of the first two Ozzy solo albums, Bark at the Moon and the Ultimate Sin were relatively mediocre albums compared to Ozzy's previous work (though No Rest For the Wicked, the album that came before No More Tears is unde..."  [+]  Reply

"I thought that this was a great album, one of my personal favorites of the 2010s! I was surprised this was a debut album, as most songs are fantastic, with really great, developed pop hooks and vocal melodies. Not every song is as fantastic as the best (I couldn't get into "Less Than Thou"), but ..."  [+]  Reply

Warm, fleeting folktronica soundscapes form a pastoral backdrop to art pop lyrics that primarily deal with the strangeness of humans and the many methods of achieving temporary happine..."  [+]  Reply

Regardless, the pop/rock on display here is pretty masterful for a debut album. Filtered through her version of Stevie Nicks, a lo..."  [+]  Reply
