"This was the first Cocteau Twins album I heard, so I heard this, not as a greatest hits album but as a studio album...it really changed my idea of what pop/rock could be in the way that "Velvet Underground and Nico" did..When I heard "Spangle Maker", I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Hands down, my favorite Roy Orbison album. If it's not his voice that gets you, it's the instrumentation. If it's not the instrumentation, it's the soul. If it ain't the soul, then it's the tear inducing masterpiece that is "Crying". 10/10." Reply

"I really like the first 4 albums by OLP, and this one isn't an exception. It might be my least favorite of the 4, but it is still a very good record. "Naveed" is an awesome album and "Clumsy" is a good follow-up, but it might be a little bit too similar to its predecessor to really stand out. But..." [+] Reply
