"Pure joy! I love it! I've never heard an album so bustling with happiness and humanness and love. I just feel uplifted having heard this. The way everything blends together turns this album into one big happy sound soup. I barely even call this "electronica", its just awesome."  Reply

"The rawness of this album will be a bit of a shock for those who grew up on The Reaper and Burnin' For You. But more so than those hits, this album is what BOC is all about. Overall, this is a very consistent and excellent outing; 8 cuts and not a dog among them."  Reply

"Life long Go-Betweens fan here Whilst 'Spring Hill Fair' was my first GB's album it was 'Before Hollywood' that completely resonated with me and the rest they say is history This album is important for a few reasons (1) It features the classic GB's line up of Grant McLennan , Robert Forster and L..."  [+]  Reply

"A stellar, glimmering portrait of a band at the height of its powers. Tweedy and Wilco captivate and command the attention of the Chicago audience in a way that I have failed to witness on just about any other live recording. Superb."  Reply

"Yeah there shouldn't be a huge distance in the rankings. The band is just too underrated in general. One of the greatest doom releases ever, just a tad under Dopethrone."  Reply

"Cheap Trick had hunger, power and songs...their first 3 albums are hard to beat. "He's A Whore", "Hot Love", "Daddy Should Have Stayed In High School"...a very good debut album."  Reply

"Possibly overshadowed by the Prog masterpiece with it's iconic cover, In The Land of the Grey and Pink', this album is equally brilliant yet quite different. One of those where you discover more with each listen. Side 2 (vinyl) is epic!"  Reply
