"The first studio album bought after my Madness introduction with Complete Madness and still enjoyable now. Madness seemed to grow up a little on this one and although the only really well known track is the brilliant Our House I think this was their first really consistent album. Not quite as goo..."  [+]  Reply

"I totally get the pretentious thing but I don't think it's near as bad a Josh Tillman (whom I also like). I just discovered this album today and it shook me. Sad, shitty songs make me so happy, I'm not sure why. Therefore this album made me really happy."  Reply

"Another quality Eels album containing quite probably my favourite Eels track of the moment - Parallels. Well worth getting the deluxe version with additional disc of tracks with the equally splendid 'Thanks I Guess'!"  Reply

"Easy to forget how bizarre this solo debut is, with the super-tight UK musicians and female backing vocals. Most of it is Velvet Underground left-overs, and every single one was done better in the demo/outtake versions by them. And what the hell is going on on the album cover?"  Reply

"Fantastic Electronic & Gritty Krautrock. Many standout tracks and definitely Mount Kimbie's best work. Will be listening to for ages to come. It's already made my top 20 Score: 8.6/10"  Reply

"OMG! Such a discovery for me! Mostly strummed acoustic guitar and Hitchcock's voice spewing weird and wonderful lyrics about creatures great and small, like furry green atom bowls, and looking at one's self in the shower. A beautiful twisty peek into a warped and whacky, kaleidoscopic mind of a d..."  [+]  Reply
