"Not too long after the concert captured on the Swiss Cheese/Fire boot, the Flo and Eddie version of the Mothers played a show in London that would turn out to be that line-up's last. An idiot in the audience thought Frank was "making eyes" at his girlfriend, so he climbed up onto the stage and pu..."  [+]  Reply

"I listened to this album to death on my little CD walkman on the way to work in Hamburg. It was also really popular in a couple of bars I frequented as well. 'Becoming X' is a unique sounding album with heavy trip hop but also Indie pop influences. Highlights for me are 'Post Modern Sleaze' and '..."  [+]  Reply

"Kinda disappointing set list, plus songs like Down by the River and Cowgirl in the Sand are already filled with long guitar solos, no need for a 16 min version. That being said it's still NY and CH so can't complain too much."  Reply

"The fact this album isn't in the top 10 of 1999 doesn't do it justice, I put it in my top 10 of all time. Tellin' Stories was good but this is just magnificent. The Blind Stagger and Impossible the stand out tracks from a an album where The Charlatans where on top form, with a big departure from ..."  [+]  Reply

"The follow up to voodoo lounge is still nothing special, but it's an improvement on the previous album. It's starts off with another lazy rocker, flip the switch, which is almost stones by numbers, but it's followed by anybody seen my baby, which is better, a smoky, sultry groover which has been ..."  [+]  Reply

"Not quite what I expected. I expected an electronic album. The first track is as straightforward as any Neil Young song, it's not until the second track where the album's new sound starts to be heard. Still, to be honest, it's just a typical Neil Young song that is just wrapped up in vocoders and..."  [+]  Reply

"Warning: This album is really fucking loud, That being said, this is like the dark side of Loveless. It's a fantastic album worth listening too. It may lack the soundscapes that Loveless has to offer, but what it doesn't have it makes up for in just pure sound and catchy melodies."  Reply
