Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.2/100, a mean average of 63.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.3.

Underappreciated Stones album! Even like it more than Voodoo Lounge and Bigger Bang.

Not a great album, but it shouldn't be so far behind the likes of Voodoo Lounge.

Might be their worst album. Sounds awful and the soundwriting is uninspired. The riff on Too tight is the only moment I relly dig about it.
Too much bad songs too. In former Stones 'bad albums' the worst were forgettable & average; here the bad songs are really bad.
And on top of that it's really long and boring wich makes the overall album rating lower than the average of the songs.

The follow up to voodoo lounge is still nothing special, but it's an improvement on the previous album. It's starts off with another lazy rocker, flip the switch, which is almost stones by numbers, but it's followed by anybody seen my baby, which is better, a smoky, sultry groover which has been credited to k.d Lang and her co-writer as well as Jagger-Richards because apparently it rips off Lang's constant craving. All right, it sounds a bit like it, but not that much. Other highlights are the big ballad, already over me, Keith's reggae workout, you don't have to mean it, and the biblical rocker saint of me. Like voodoo lounge, it feels way overlong, with too many forgetful throaways. The ending though is lovely, with Keith's, how can i stop. Beautiful. It's a great end to an ok album.

Ah how the mighty have fallen. Way to much production but I guess they were trying the fact these songs were just not that good.
