"The sign of things to come - wonderful lengthy tracks such as Song For America and Incomudro matched with mid-length tracks such as Lonely Street. Steve Walsh's voice at his best."  Reply

"They sound like ghosts here, floating memories of a past about to be forgotten forming transient structures of matter. This is enough to sound more alive than most (or maybe all) of the music in this decade of goodbyes. Shall we go singing country songs, you and I while we can..."  Reply

"A glorious mess of energy, sex and rebellion. So much swagger as Bran Van 3000 uses sampling and guest artists balanced with their own beats, loops and spunk. Will get into your head on repeat all day long, and dares you not to get up and dance. A treasure in Quebec, and a hidden gem outside. Hig..."  [+]  Reply

"Very good album. The cover is quite stunning. I think that the overall continuity would have been better had all songs been recorded at the same recording studio. Album notes states that this was not the case. As such it does sound like the production is different."  Reply

"Johnny Smith was a guitarist of impeccable taste and masterful execution. Not a big improviser in the bop tradition, he plays brilliantly and thoughtfully constructed lines and his tone is absolutely gorgeous."  Reply

"This is one of my favourite albums of all time; a perfect blend of mechanical punk with pop roots. No other album is simply quite like it. I think the main problem is that the album is just too different for most people to appreciate, though I remember lying on bed listening to this and falling i..."  [+]  Reply

"This is actually amazing. Constantly switching between quirky/rhythmic (a la Talking Heads) and gloriously melodic. And there are some genuinely epic bursts of sonic power every now and then."  Reply
