Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 82.5/100, a mean average of 83.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 84.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.9.

So...so...boring. I guess you had to be there...and be incredibly high. Yet another flatulent set of (over-)extended noodley jams and perfunctory covers (in this case, we get "El Paso" and "Mama Tried" thrown in with the usual suspects) that is obviously for diehard Deadheads only. If you're a casual Dead fan like me, all you need is the best 5 or 6 studio albums and you're good to go. Most of these non-stop endless releases of "classic" live shows will just put you to sleep.

Widely referred to as the greatest Grateful Dead concert of All-Time. It is not but it is still an excellent representation of the 1977 Grateful Dead. Probably the tightest the band ever played. Crisp glistening Live recording by Betty Cantor Jackson. This is a stunning Live album worthy of ANY quality record collection.
