Bit of a different style from their debut. Instead of the generic 00's rock sound, with this album they've gone for a more classic rock sound. Starts off well but by midway it all begins to sound to similar. With a few tracks (mainly the slower) you can hear shades of Oasis. As an album it's alright, but nothing special.
On first listen I was disappointed after loving the rock sound and energy on Get Born. But after half dozen listens I'm starting to dig this more mellow sound. It sounds like a cross over between Crowded House on the quieter more melodic parts, Oasis in the rockier and often chorus parts and overlaid with a Beatles style.
A wee bit of Led Zepplin on tracks like Stand Up.
This record reminds me of Badfinger and that's a good thing.

Just listened to this again, always good. They captured a great Beatles studio albums sound on this one. Also reminds of Oasis, only holding up better on repeated plays. No songs really stand out above the others, their all great!
