She kind of lost me here. Has some African type sounds and whatnot, a few good songs and lot of pretty forgettable ones.
Not as good as any of Bjork's previous albums, but "Earth Intruders" is a pretty great song.
One of Björk's weakest, looking weaker esp in comparison to her previous record "Medulla" which just so happens to be my favourite record of all time , *however* when it's good, it's very good. The first three tracks are uniformly great, and I love "declare independece", but other than that the record really sags. A lot of the energy and blood is completely lost on these barely-there tracks. Nonetheless, it's still worth a listen. (Edited)

There are bookends in "earth intruders" and "declare independence" that capture bjork at her feistiest, and most political. These happen to be the best tracks. The rest are a number of good stabs for an artist that is becoming more potential than promise..
Great album. Has soft parts, has disruptive parts, Bjork has great range. My favorites are Dull Flame and My Juvenile.
