Loved this album since I picked it up in the '80s. Much prefer it to his 1st album.

Buchanan's first album for the Alligator Records label announced the guitarist's re-emergence as a top six string slinger. He was highly regarded in the 70s, but by the time of this release his star had fallen. On the title track Buchanan unleashes some gritty and smooth blues playing that flows throughout this album, testifying that his blues playing prowess should not be overlooked. He follows that fiery track with 8 more blistering and playful tunes. A highlight of his lengthy career. If you like the blues, you'll like this album.
