Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 60.6/100, a mean average of 59.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 59.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 29.5.

Britney spears is probably my biggest guilty pleasure
Generally a worthy combination of production and attitude, but I was tiring of the Auto-Tune by the second half (even when cleverly used) and the tracks became less interesting as well.
I adore this album with all my heart. It's absolutely perfect.
Secretly the greatest work of art ever made (unironically). But we will never admit it.
Mesmo hoje seria moderno. Música pop de alta qualidade
I love this record, britney at her pinnacle here. This was pretty forward-thinking and really set the tone for the electropop takeover in the mainstream starting from 2009. A lot of great tracks, by turns sexy and innovative thanks to both britney and danja. the album starts perfectly with the sultry, maddening lead single "gimme more" and ends perfectly on a very personal note. i completely agree with antaiospiano abt the rockists on this site giving this great record scathing reviews , it's honestly pathetic.
Best album in its genre. The genre being the synthpop revival of the ‘00s, which was without doubt the most important genre of that decade. The Madonna generation had matured and started making their own music. There was tough competition: Kylie Minogue, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, Madonna herself. But Britney definitely took the crown with this one.
If the genre was rock however (or anything related to it), people on this site would cum all over it even if the album was half as good. But since it is pop, we see these salty old heads, edgy declinists and indie purists with anger boners pop up who can’t possibly understand how something that is mainstream can also be good at the same time.
Ok album. Best 10 songs average is 73,3/100 and the album can get ok 75/100. No remarkable songs, four ones ok and rest below-average.
Genre: Dance-Pop, Electropop
Basically a giant electro sexy-come-hither dance of an album, it reveals Britney's canny choice of producers perhaps more so than her actual personality (and her torpodeing public trainwreck-persona at the time) and came up with the sleeky, sinewy, bare-bones sexiness that came to dominate EDM at the time. A trendsetter for better or worse, but it's an underrated album from the forever hot-mess that always was Britney's career.
I'm not sure why people are giving Blackout extremely low ratings. This is most definitely Britney's best album, and although that might not say much, it was surprisingly risky. The first use of dubstep ever by a commercial artist is present on this album (bordering avant-garde pop), along with a load of futuristic production, giving it a sleek, sexy, edgy style. It's a lot of fun for dance/electro pop lovers.
