This is a brilliant album. It is almost a "best of" collection. Yes, the versions of the songs are (mostly) not the best known versions but some of them are better, and most of them are no worse. The cover of XTC's Dear God is the very best version of that song - even Andy Partridge who wrote the song said so. As with many of Sarah's songs, her live performance of Drawn To The Rhythm is even more emotive and compelling than the original version. The underrating of her on this site is mostly down to the fact that very few members of the site are female, and this type of artist is particularly overlooked and underappreciated by males. She is one of the, if not the, best Canadian artists of the 90s.
