Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 65.5/100, a mean average of 64.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 65.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.7.

The genius of "The Kill" lies in how it combines the emotional rawness of rock with a polished, almost cinematic production. The slashing guitars, the pounding drums, and Leto's voice, full of passion and rage, merge to create a sound that is both powerful and vulnerable. It's no wonder it became a mainstay of 2000s rock and a recurring theme at the band's concerts, where its energy is multiplied.

"The Kill" is a reminder of the golden age of alternative rock, a cry of anguish that resonated with a generation. It's a song that makes you feel every beat, every sigh, and invites you to face your own fears head-on. It's pure catharsis, a masterpiece of emotion in its rawest form. (Edited)

First album I hear from this band and I expected more. It starts strong but then you just get tired of the repetitive music and the guy shouting in every song. (Edited)
