Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RasmV (2020)
Well. It seems that it is difficult for me to look beyond nostalgia hence why some albums here will be considered "not so good" by most people on BEA. I guess I just can't change what I listened to five or eight years ago, and I might actually find joy re-listening to some of it even today.
Over and out.

Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 80.2/100, a mean average of 76.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.2/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 18.4.

Some choices that I really dislike, but overall good job doing you.
It’s clear where your interest lies, but at least you’re honest about what you like.
Doesn't help that I'm not really into Muse's heavy-handed musicianship (which I can appreciate at times, but I do get overwhelmed by the EPICNESS pretty quickly). Some picks in here, to be sure, but nothing terribly original, I guess.
Very cool list. I love a lot of these records myself. Given your tatse, I'm shocked by how low Turn on the Bright Lights is. I thought I was going to get through the whole list without seeing Interpol. I would think that record would be a top 10 for you, and no Antics? Give it a try. Fantastic record. Fav song: Not Even Jail
I can't say I'm a big fan of some of these choices, but don't worry too much about douchey comments. You showed us what you like and we can't blame you for that; I'm a bigger fan of a chart like this than something that just copies the top 100. This was pretty much my music taste in 8th/9th grade anyway so can't say I haven't been there. And hey, there's a ton of music for you to check out now which is amazing - I wish I could go back and un-listen to my favorites just to hear them for the first time
Ikke lige min smag men fedt nok alligevel.
Ayy, Avenged Sevenfold. lol

I don\'t usually give charts a low rating but it troubles me that there\'s so little diversity of both genre and artist. Not a single woman with writing credits appears in the entire chart and the only PoC are Jimi Hendrix and Arthur Lee, both memebers of white dominated groups. Not to mention the entire 70s is condensed down to 9 albums, a third of which are by Pink Floyd. If you want to stick to what you like I respect your decision, but seeing as you asked for recommendations, the YouTube channel \'deep cuts\' has some great introductory videos for genres that maybe you\'re missing out on, I\'ll link a few here:\r\n\r\n(ambient) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5of5OIb1s4&index=14&list=PLKRRjKLRXNJly8aNzi2stcFT_CnTSAW0v&t=0s\r\n(experimental hip hop) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPkPPM87O6c&index=15&list=PLKRRjKLRXNJly8aNzi2stcFT_CnTSAW0v&t=409s\r\n(trip hop) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyXbUzm-Tv0&index=13&list=PLKRRjKLRXNJly8aNzi2stcFT_CnTSAW0v&t=0s\r\n(IDM) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50WilJ_Bamw&index=5&list=PLKRRjKLRXNJly8aNzi2stcFT_CnTSAW0v&t=1s\r\n(jazz fusion) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpK6v-IzN6c&index=4&list=PLKRRjKLRXNJly8aNzi2stcFT_CnTSAW0v&t=9s\r\n(funk) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZM0MSwaU5o&index=1&list=PLKRRjKLRXNJly8aNzi2stcFT_CnTSAW0v&t=122s\r\n
