Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A great turning point in the style of the band, leaving the guitar-driven songs from the first album and the emotional lyrics in A Beautiful Lie for a more electronic (and commercial) sound. To fully appreciate the good moments on this record you should listen to it without thinking that this isn't good because it's commercial music. It's maybe the greatest effort in putting together a strong album by the band. The production is maybe a bit overdone: strings and choirs are too prominent on some tracks, but the direction the band took with this was right imo.

Trying to be important and sounding way too bloated - The orchestration, the children's choirs, etc. Could've been better if they toned it down a notch.

Can't listen! Draining my soul! It's like a movie yet it claims to be a music album! Don't want!
I shouldn't like this album. But I do. It's consistently fun throughout, the music is well done, the production is well handled and the lyrics are quite good. It isn't very complicated, and that's why I love it. Just simplicity.
Not good compared to the two other albums. Giving up the guitars to replacing it by commercial and artificial sound is not an evolution, but only an attempt to increase the number of fans. Pointless.
Also, the songs are too long, a one hour album is too much compared to its poor content.
I liked 'Night of the Hunter' and 'Stranger in a Strange Land'.
This album needs time and a few listenings. There are some great moments but it's worth listen to all tracks.
