Honestly, this album is one of Young's best. It's so strange that it was essentially lost to the nothingness of time until 2020. It still holds up fine, but imagine hearing this thing 40 years ago!

I've heard this a few times now and it doesn't feel like a proper album to me. Half of it is great, classic Young and half filler or worse. It's not racing with anything else from this era including hitchhiker. This probably isn't the same album that would have been released at the time. A mixed bag of homegrown indeed, too many stems.

Fine album, I think "White Line" is the best track.
A very welcome release from Neil Young. It may not be as good as the other albums recorded in its era, but its still an instant favorite for me. Some of these songs were already released on albums that were recorded after Homegrown, but I enjoyed these renditions just as much.

Why he didn't release this sooner will always be a mystery to me. It's kind of a masterpiece. Separate Ways, the title track, and White Line are great. Florida is fine, but it sticks out like a sore thumb on an album like this.

A little disappointed.
This album is really good, barring Florida (which is one of the worst songs I've ever heard). The opener is amazing, and Love is a Rose is a classic.
