it's funny, with records like these for the first minute or so all I can hear is how absolutely shit the guitar and drums (and bass?? maybe??) sound. Then my ears adjust and like two minutes in it sounds absolutely amazing (Edited)

Darkthrone's best record to date. Huge step-up from their debut Death metal roots. Their black metal style after this will continue to get even more raw, but I prefer the sound on this record the most.
