Clifton Chenier was a New Orleans legend. His Son C.J. Chenier leads his own band (The Red Hot Louisiana Band) through a rousing dozen Zydeco styled song set, including two songs previously composed and performed by Clifton, and adds another song tribute to his departed father "You're Still The King To Me" that is an apt tribute. Throughout the album C.J. lets his band shine and adds tasty accordion licks of his own. Imagine a release featuring accordion! Released in 1990 on Slash Records (Cat # 9 26263-2). Try this out for Zydeco at its most party-rrific.
