An amazing story behind this musician which has nothing to do with music. Wayman Tisdale began life as a basketball prodigy, pursuing his basketball dreams and winning an Olympic Gold Medal along the way to NBA stardom. When his NBA career wrapped up, Tisdale pursued his avocation, playing Jazz/Funk bass and recording several albums. In 2008 he had his right leg amputated at the knee. This album came out in 2007, and served as a career retrospective up to that point. Since then Tisdale has rehabilitated and continues to lead a Jazz/Funk ensemble and has put out quite a few more albums.
