This auspicious debut of jazz pianist Tommy Flanagan, here supported by Wilbur Little on bass, and Elvin Jones on drums was recorded in Stockholm , Sweden in 1957, while the three men were playing together as members of J.J. Johnson's five man group. The recording was released in several different settings and with diverse titles. It was hard to pin down the origin of the 1999 version of the album which I purchased as (Cat#OJCCD-1033-2/P-7134). The 1999 release also features 3 bonus tracks -
Delarna (take 2)
Verdandi (take 2) and
Willow Weep For Me (take 1)
