Crawford and her team have assembled an international roster of superstar talents to provide musical support for her very gifted vocals. Released in 1995 and manufactured in Germany and parts of Europe (WEA Cat#: 0630-10961 2) finds the vocalist at home in the deep grooves laid down by Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley, Michael J. "Dinosaur" Campbell, Bernie Worrell, Mark Figge, Bela Braukmann, Hilko Schomerus, Jochen Wollenhaupt Ralf Petter, and many more. The groove gets especially deep on my favorite track here - "Come Into My Life" an over 7 minute workout that never lets up. Also of note, a re-working of Prince's "Purple Rain" minus the gospel flavor, and Crawford essays the Motown standard "I'll Be Around" with rewarding results. Authenticated on discogs.com, this album would hold a proud place in any collector's collection.
