A massive five album box set put out by The Smithsonian Collection and Sony Music Special Products, this traces the development of Jazz throughout history. It was released on CD in 1997, (Cat#: Smithsonian Collection ‎– RD 033, Smithsonian Collection ‎– A5 19477, Sony Music Special Products ‎– A 19478) and brings 95 Jazz classics to the listener. A treasure trove of music by all the greats one can think of. It contains an extremely comprehensive over 200 page book with details of each song. Authenticated on discogs.com
