One of the most significant of the discoveries of "The Paisley Underground" was a band led by singer Johnette Napolitano - a gravelled voiced belter who penned lyrics immersed in Southern California squalor - and her band Concrete Blonde. Usually a trio augmented by guest musicians, Concrete Blonde cut out a swath of the music scene by filling its music with death trip reclamation projects like "Joey" or "Tomorrow, Wendy" as well appealing to emerging goths with "Bloodletting". Their hits were scattered over four or five albums and compiled here in a single source as I.R.S (Cat#: 72438 37072 25) that will thrill any long time listener. Authenticated on discogs.com
