EU were the band that the former band Experience Unlimited (circa late 70s) became during the 90s. Sometimes referred to as E.U. and other times without the periods within the group's name. This 1990 album on Virgin Records America (Cat#: 2-91379) finds the band still harboring some of the sounds of their inspirational group Earth, Wind & Fire - while also branching out into a more distinctive Go-Go style favored by Washington, D.C. acts of the time period. The 1988 single "Da Butt" is what brought them wider acclaim, but it is not featured among the 10 tracks of this album. This album goes for a more high-tech sound, which is not necessarily the group's strong point. Worth it to check the evolution of a band. Authenticated on discogs.com
