“Time's Arrow” is far too washed out for its own good. The production's wateriness removes any dynamic pull or crunch from the synths, leaving them stagnant. The vocals are buried way too deep in the mix. They are difficult to hear and when they can be, they sound powerless. The lyrics are acceptable if a bit under written with the exception of “California”. This song fails to mine any real emotions out of the already overdone topic of West Coast worship. An unfortunate and flat effort.
