Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.6/100, a mean average of 65.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.0.

Okay, so it's not exactly "Who's Next" but it's a very solid album. Overall, the songs on here are actually better than on "Who Are You" but the boost that Keith Moon's powerful drumming would have given these songs is what is sorely missing and that's too bad because with Moon this might have been another Who classic.
I just love "The quiet one"... ( <>
You Better You Bet es la última gran canción de The Who
A group does not simply recover from the loss of the likes of Keith Moon. However, if one is not expecting Moon, this album comes across much better. There are enough great cuts for this one to deserve much better than it gets. Another Tricky Day is absolutely classic Who and Entwistle has a particularly strong showing on this album with two great rocking cuts, 'You' and 'The Quiet One.'
Face dances, is the first album by The Who since the death of Keith Moon, here he is replaced by ex-small faces/faces drummer Kenney Jones. The record is certainly not a classic by any stretch, but it is an improvement on their last album, who are you. The LP opens with the band's last truly great song/single, with the anthemic, you better you bet, an excellent cut. Don't let the coat, is a likeable track, but it's nothing special, and, cache cache, is enjoyable enough. The best song after, you better, is probably, daily records, with, did you steal my money, and, how can you do it alone, also fine, while John Entwistle's, the quiet one, is the probably the most rocking track here. Face dances, grows on you after a few spins, but it's nowhere near their late sixties and early seventies stuff. That powerhouse sound from that period is long gone, now they sound like nothing more than a competent rock band. Still, having said that, it's not bad.
The Who's first album after the death of drummer Keith Moon. "You Better You Bet" is the only real standout, but the rest is OK. But OK is such a drop from the string of albums Tommy, Live At Leeds, Quadrophenia, Who's Next...
The band just seems more than 8 years older than "Who's Next", perhaps a bit more mellow. A bit less important.
Why oh why, Pete Townshed, did you fall in love with ABBA? How did this happen to the Who?
there are a few acceptable songs here (the quite one, you better you bet) - but in it's entirety this album acts without concept and seems uninspired to me.
Nope. The Who lose their soul and their edge without Keith Moon. Forgettable.
