Electric Mud is a kind of musical masterpiece that is largely forgotten by many, but this time it made me think,´this is hip hop.. Funkadelic guys must have listened to this very much...
Approach this album without any preconceptions and you’ll love it. Great blues rock album.
Muddy hated this album and I can see why. It's just a commercial move to uplift Muddy's career jumping on the bandwagon of blues based psychedelic rock of that time.
His golden stuff has to be found on other albums.

If you let go of your image of Muddy Waters for a moment, and listen to this record strictly as a heavy metal LP, you will realize how good it really is.
Very Good to excellent blues /Hard rock with psychedelic tones album. I think some that do not agree do not realize this is from 1968.

I fail to see why this album is maligned by so many. This is the missing link between blues and hard rock....and Muddy's rendition of Let's Spend the Night Together is absolutely scorching.
