Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Strong collection of some of Yes' best material from their heyday in the live scene. Great track listing, great performances, especially on the always-stunning Gates of Delirium. Would have been OK with maybe cutting out some of the "noise" of Ritual (Part 2) to truncate this thing a bit, but I really like everything else. Good starting point for getting into Yes' in their live element during the late '70s.
Shocking that this is ranked so low! Almost as good as Yessongs. The performances certainly are, the track list is just slightly weaker.
Brilliant live album. I have the original vinyl version which is still in near mint condition and sounds superb through quality audio kit.

A very good live album of the classic material from Yes that was not covered by Yessongs - no duplication between these two Yessongs & Yesshows as opposed to nearly all live albums to come. The live version of Gates of delirium herein is well worth it and even more "aggressive" than the original studio version.
