Not exactly in my wheelhouse, but good for what it is.

Another decent Pet shop boys album. Not as great as, Actually, but still a good record although none of the tracks are up there with their iconic tracks of the eighties. Still, good LP.

Very good album. Best 10 songs average is 87,5/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Two strong standouts on this record: "So hard" 100/100 and "Being boring" 95/100. Next is "How can you expect..." and "Jealousy" both 85/100. All other songs only just good 80/100.
Genre: Synthpop, Dance-Pop

The Boys clearly enjoy being more aloof than ever whilst making some seriously good pop music.

The first side is a bit too slow moving but the album improves once So Hard kicks in.

This one starts with a really nice groove on "Being Boring," but unfortunately that title also describes the rest of the album. It's boring. They did so much better on earlier albums.

The greatest pop album of all time, kicked off with the greatest pop song of all time, the sublime "Being Boring". "The Must be the Place" and "My October Symphony" are the other two all time classics, but every track is a winner on this autumnal masterpiece, except perhaps "How Can You Expect" which is a bit of a blot. You should also find the b-sides which didn't make the cut: "Miserablism", "We All Feel Better in the Dark" and "It Must Be Obvious".
