Singer/songwriter Rosey's 2002 release is a sensational hidden treasure.
Melding of dance beats and free spirited hippy grooves, this debut has an urban appeal rooted a sleek bohemian cool. Roesy's hickory-smoked alto voice is very distinctive with a velvet touch.
You can't pigeonhole this album's sound. It flows through some hybrids of hypnotic funk/rock into some eastern-tinged rhythms with seductive cosmic bass lines to sensual, steamy jazzy blues stylings with the right amount of pop.
A vibrant album bursting with uniqueness.
An eclectic mix of styles – trip hop, funk, jazz, rock, blues, hip hop and pop , blended together to create a fantastic sound.
Call it urban gypsy music.
