Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.1/100, a mean average of 68.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.4.

Far more polished than earlier recordings. For the first time since the Dog album they hired a producer with the ambition to break America. The result was a more pop oriented album and the band was never the same again. Hold You Back and Rockers Rollin' are great tracks, even the title track even if it's a bit overplayed.

Too Far Gone, Let's Ride, Rockers Rollin' and the title track make this album worthwhile, though none of the other tracks can be classed as filler.

The title track speaks for itself a great party anthem,Rockers Rollin',Dirty Water, not bad tracks either 'Hold You Back' my personal favourite here there are some poor no.s on here though, a different direction for Quo' from here on the hits would still come although the hard rock heavy Status Quo 'frantic four' had gone.
