As a die-hard Santana fan, this was another slight disappointment. It's not a terrible album, but it is comes across as a rather "dumbed down" version of their earlier, truly great albums. It is not even very satisfying (to me) as a pop album. If I want pop, I'll listen to ABC, not this. But I know this period of Santana has its fans. Perhaps they are people who are a bit younger than the fans of the early albums, and therefore only started to listening to music seriously around the late 70s/early 80s.

I like the album.
It´s pretty Pop orientated 80`s Santana, but the songs are fine.

Essentially the same crew as Zebop, but without the dmsame flair.
Uninspired and rather bland. Where's the passion?

meaningless collection of easy-minded, slightly funky sambaesque songs, which always remind of the "originally" 70s - but they create just a glimpse of it. not a bad record, but there is missing some ardor here.
