Recorded after their 2003 masterpiece Ghosts of the Great Highway, Tiny Cities is a cover album that sees Kozelek reconstruct and breathe new life into songs by the legendary Modest Mouse. It also captures some of Kozelek's most beautiful singing and playing, with each song feeling as inspired as the originals.
This one keeps growing on me. What a bizarre album it is, but very well played and sung. I think people haven't spun this fucker enough to realize how good it is.

I think this album is underrated, I like it more than newest Kozelek's work in the 2010's
A weird idea: an album of Modest Mouse covers in the way of Sun Kil Moon.
Sometimes it's hard to recognize it.
Not a big fan, but it's not bad by all means.
