Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.4/100, a mean average of 72.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.6.

Um dos mais crus da década, é memorável e não muito valorizado, uma pena.
Excellent album. One of my favourite by pearl jam.
Simply: Pearl Jam
The title resumes all the is to say on this work. Simply Pearl Jam in all their faces.
Whoa! Pearl Jam returns with high energy rock.
After Riot Act I thought they were done. Withered, tired, spent, and out of ideas. Then they do this.
Gone and Come Back are classics
Inside Job is a great closer.
Life Wasted and World Wide Suicide are excellent singles
Comatose is manic and great in the vain of Lukin and Spin the Black Circle.
Marker in the Sand and Severed Hand are smart rockers
Army Reserve is touching.
Like all of the best Pearl Jam albums, none of them reach 5 star status because they all contain a couple songs that range from duds to bland.
The middle of the album from Parachutes to Big Wave is skippable. I truly don't care about Vedder's love for surfing.
Everything else here is great! I rank it 3rd behind VS and Vitalogy. It's great to see a stellar band find a second wind in their storied career and stay relevant
Never understood the dislike for this EP, for me this is right behind Vitalogy for 4th best album. Also, Come Back is one of their best songs.
I know this was supposed to be somewhat of a return to form, but there's nothing on this album that stands out to me.
This is sort of Pearl Jam getting tired of being in self-imposed exile and trying to make a straightforward album again. It's definitely a good one, a nice salute to their roots.
This anticipates the return to form that was Backspacer. There are a handful of very worthwhile tracks on this including the understated, underrated Come Back and the very lovely Marker in the Sand.
