Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A great collection of songs from a great and sadly, largely unrecognised, songwriter. Musically and lyrically, a tour de force. Vision and Been Alone So Long are beautifully written and Just Good Friends a deeply emotional, at times acidic, reflection on relationships. I disagree with the other comment on This Side of the Looking Glass - an epic song. Seeing him play in New York is one of the highlights of my life.

A selection of love songs from previous PH albums re-arranged and re-recorded. In most cases the new versions are equivalent to the original. Quite a few are even better, allowing the songs to shine of their own untainted by the musical feel of the album from which they are extracted. In only one case it does not work for me, "This Side of the Looking Glass", this song was so much of an atomic emotional bomb, resung it becomes merely cheezy. If you are interested in testing out PH but are not a prog head. This is the recommended album.
