While I don’t think this quite has the urgent energy of Mothership Connection, it’s another really solid and fun mid-70’s P-Funk romp. The bass interplay here is outstanding as are the horn charts.

Absolutely FUNKED UP that this is rated so low
the album as a format has been around for roughly 58 years. that's roughly 21,000 days...
therefore, if you accept this album's rank at 21,609, you come to the unrealistic and inescapable conclusion that ROUGHLY ONE ALBUM PER DAY HAS BEEN RELEASED THAT IS BETTER THAN THE CLONES OF DR. FUNKENSTEIN (on average). slightly more than 1 album per day, really though? funking christ.... every. single. day. an album. better than this. is released.
according to my funculator, every funking day should be christmas when you factor in all of this "info." unfortunately the info is obviously false, as christmas only comes once a year. spock would agree, you just can't argue with this logic. this album's rank is clearly flawed.
I almost bought this record today, it was a tossup between this and sketches of spain. I got sketches, but I'm going back tomorrow for this gold if no one else gets to it before I do. thankfully, the world is full of donkeys so I'll prob get to add this to my collection in about 18 hours b/c it will most likely still be there.
