This is my favourite Bill Callahan album(including Smog). It's heading closer to that Americana sound and it features some of Callahan's best songs. Diamond dancer, from the rivers to the ocean, especially, honeymoon child, are all excellent. Bill Callahan is one of the most original and interesting of songwriters, and this is a great record.
First album as Bill Callahan, a strong change from Smog style. Texas is near here.
